Missoula: a seven-year-old’s perspective

Since arriving in Missoula four days ago, E has discovered photography in a big way. Maybe she has inherited Philip of Ottawa’s genes. I think looking at Missoula through a lens is her way of making sense of this new place, or perhaps her way of ‘owning’ it. She wanted me to upload some of her images onto my blog. So here they are:

  1. Wow, great photos Evie. You are a natural. And the cinema sign could also be for Missoula, if you turn it upside down to make an “M”. We can’t wait to see more of your photos! Kate and Glenn.

Evie your photos are absolutely amazing!! You make Missoula look so beautiful and weird, I can tell you’re loving it. Lucky you having this great place to discover! keep going and send us more!

Of course you have stumbled across like minded people JP, even if you’d relocated to the moon you’d be discussing films and books with whomever you found there. Love the travelogue and E’s lovely pics, great and refreshing that they are not of you all and instead of signage and markings. Your adventure has got off to a good start and I’m glad you’re confronting your fears, it reminded me not to be so scared all the time. By the way I think a night with a spider sounds way better than a night with Sir P. That guy peaked when he was 23 like they all do. Keep em coming. Much love xxx

    • Hey Jodi, thanks for the lovely comments. Montana is a truly amazing state. I think of all the places we have been in the US is is up there with my favourites… the landscape, the people, the architecture. It is absolutely stunning. Sending you all loads of love from Butte, Montana…. Jxx
